Take off the day with me!

Hello everyone, welcome back.

Today I will be talking about taking off my makeup routine.

So grab your coffee, pull up a seat and let’s get started.

Today is not just any makeup look, it’s my scarecrow makeup.

I won’t be changing any of my regular routine because I know my routine can take it off with no problem.

First, I will be using the Clinique take the day off.

On the Clinique website, Take the day off cleansing balm is a lightweight makeup remover quickly dissolves tenacious eye and face makeups, sunscreens. Transforms from a solid balm into a silky oil upon application. Cleans thoroughly, rinses off completely.

This stuff is amazing and melts the makeup off with no problem.

Usually, I only need a small amount but where I’m wearing tons of makeup, I’m going to use more than I usually do.

See what I mean, melt the makeup right off. Now time to wash it off, using warm water.

So beautiful lol now time to clean the face, using the Clinique liquid facial cleanser. On the website, liquid facial soap, our guiding dermatologists believe in simple, effective cleansing: soap and water. Soft, non-drying lather cleans gently, rinses easily.

I love this cleanser, it does the job unbelievably well.

So much better. Now time to use the toner. I will be using Clinique clarifying lotion. P.s I’m not sponsored by Clinique, I just really love their skin care. I dislike their makeup line but their skin care is amazing.

On the website, clarifying lotion, dermatologist – developed formula helps reveal fresher skin. Sweeps away dulling flakes and excess oil so moisturizer can do its job better.

Can’t believe there was still makeup left.

Now time to lip scrub those lips. I will be using Fresh sugar face polish. I know it, not lip scrub, I ran out and debating what to get or try.

On the fresh website, sugar face polish with nourishing brown sugar is an innovative formula for all skin types that exfoliates and hydrates the skin, instantly revealing a softer, smoother, more radiant complexion.

So I will be scrubbing that in my lips and then wiping it off, using a wet cloth.

Now time to moisturizer, I really love this moisturizer for night time, I’m almost out and I’m debating on buying it.

Tatcha, the water cream, on the website, an oil-free, anti-aging water cream that releases a burst of skin-improving Japanese nutrients, powerful botanicals, and optimal hydration for poreless-looking skin.

Love this moisturizer for my lips. Jersey Shore, lavender moisture rich hydrating balm.

Can’t forget the eyes. I will be using Lancome Visionnaire Yeux Eye on correction.

There you have it.

How do you take your makeup off?

Till next time,

Xoxo

Monday is mask day!

Hello everyone,

if you can’t tell by the title about what I’m going to be talking about, then I will tell you. Today is mask day. Every Monday, I always do face mask. I love doing the mask on a Monday, to kinda prepare my skin for the week and weekend.

For the longest time, I loved using GlamGlow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment but when I ran out three weeks ago, I knew I needed a refill but I couldn’t afford the 90 dollars price tag lol 😂. So instead I decide to try the Mary Kay Deep-Cleaning Charcoal Mask.

The first thing I noticed about this mask, how similar it is to the GlamGlow. So I really joyed using this mask.

Don’t mind my nails, doing that today too, sad part they didn’t even last one day. Tried the new sally nail polish. Might do a post about that. Ok, back to the topic at hand. Mary Kay Charcoal mask, on the website, this triple-action mask deeply cleanses skin, immediately reduces shine and features a complex of botanical extracts to help clear the way to beautiful skin. The mask is formulated with activated charcoal, an ingredient so powerful, it can bind up to double its weight in pore-clogging impurities. Think of it like a powerful magnet withdrawing dirt and debris from deep within pores. Plus, mineral clay ingredients, kaolin and bentonite, known to help boost the mask’s absorbency. You’ll love how the mask soaks up excess oil to deliver a smooth, matte appearance. If you suffer from problem skin, you may have experienced dark spots and lingering discolouration. This multitasking mask was formulated to help with that too! Clear Proof® Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask contains honeysuckle and navy bean extracts shown to target the appearance of skin discolouration. So let’s put this to the tested.

Ok, first let’s clean the face, after a clean face, taking a small amount of the product and apply that all over the face.

Now we wait for 10-20 mins. Coffee break time.

Sophie my new kitten decided she would love to photobomb me lol.

20 mins later. So it completely dried on my face, I can see some white spots, and dark spots. Let’s zoom in, look at that nose lol.

Now to wash off this mask.

Here the finished look, my skin feels unbelievable smooth and looks incredible. This mask is unquestionably a 5 out of 5 stars for me.

So I’m thinking every couple of weeks I may try a different mask on mondays and tested them out. What do you think? I may even do mask vs mask too.

Well that all for now.

My arch nemesis … Acne

Yesterday I woke up to my face all broke out, those ugly red pimples were staring back at me and all I wanted to do was run away, cry, and hide away from the world while I pray to the beauty gods why did they forsaking me. Just kidding, I didn’t do any of those but I did thought of it.

I usually have a clear face and when I get a break out I can pinpoint why those beautiful red pimples appear. The cause of my breakout the other day was due to my sponge which I knew was getting old.

How did I knew it was my beauty blender?

My beauty blender was getting old and I knew I had to toss it but I didn’t want to just yet, wanted to make sure I get my full use out of it. When I used it the other day I knew I was going to have a breakout due to a feeling, a tingle at the spot where I got my acne. Sure enough, when I took my makeup off there was the blemish staring back at me. I was hoping I could have prevent the break out before they appear but of course no such luck.

Here my routine on how I deal with my acne. Now what I use for routine on how to deal with acne might not work you or your skin. But I did try a lot and I mean a lot of routines on how to deal with breakout.

  1. I found take a warm shower to open up those pores helps greatly. I use my face cleanser, Clinique facial soap. 20171007_2117251752100669.jpg
  2. Once the soap is washed off, I then go in with St. Ives apricot scrub. 20171007_211656722366359.jpg
  3. Once I finished my shower routine and wash off the St. Ives, I then turn the shower water cold. So I can close my pores back up so I make sure I don’t get any more breakouts.  Believe me opening your pores up and then closing it will help greatly on combating acne. I used to have back acne and I fight it for a very long time and couldn’t make sense on why I keep getting them. Well I was able to figure it out, it was do to the warm water and my hair conditioner. The soup of my hair conditioner was getting trap into my back pores and staying there. Once I figured that out I changed my routine quickly. Bam, all my back acne was gone.
  4. Once I’m out of the shower and dry, I then go in with Clinique clarifying lotion. I only use this once a day but when I have acne I was this twice a day.  20171007_185444377900425.jpg
  5. The last finally step, Moisturizer. I can’t tell how important it is to moisture your skin. It one of the most important thing you can do for your skin, plus drinking water. I go in with Clinique Moisture Surge and wait for that dry and then go in with Clinique Dramatically different moisturizing lotion

Well that how I deal when I get a breakout. I would like to hear your story on how you deal with acne.

Till next time, my friends
